The raw yellow concrete facade gives a clear identity to the building. It comes down on the ground and back up again the previously existing building, creating an open air sunny room, a generous public space linking the old and the new. This work seeks to create multi-performative material systems utilizing optimization, aggregation and efficiency. Simple units and semi-finished materials were physically tested in order to extract potential performative characteristics and limits. These limits were negotiated through rigorous digital and physical techniques in order to produce strategies of fabrication. archinect.com Posted: 01/29/2010 digg | del.icio.us | stumble | email this
